Business and Community Education Center Auditorium 202 S. Halsted Street -Chicago Heights, IL 60411According to recent statistics, 75% of middle school students are inadequately prepared for the rigors of high school...the training ground for college! Since a college education significantly increases the odds of a successful lifestyle in our community, SMHEC and the Olympia Fields Education Commission have partnered to reach middle school parents andstudents. With appropriate planning, guidance and hard work, all students can achieve success. Come find out NOW how to map out the keys to success, regardless of the challenges and distractions you may face!

Charles Wilson, our keynote speaker, was raised in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood. He spent six years in the U.S. Navy submarine fleet as a member of the Nuclear Propulsion Program. Following his years in the Navy, he worked for Exelon Nuclear. Mr. Wilson is now the CEO of the Legacy Nexus Group and designed the Legacy Nexus Program for middle and high school students to challenge their sense of hopelessness, build their confidence and competence, and trigger the motivation needed to work toward their full potential.
